NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT — LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF THE TUNA FISHERY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN VIETNAM ACCORDING TO THE MSC STANDARD
The Vietnam Tuna Association (VINATUNA) has announced an adjusted FIP Feedback Mechanism to ensure that fishers, crew members, and vessel owners have safe and effective channels to report issues related to working conditions, safety at sea, and responsible fishing practices.
The revised mechanism enhances accessibility through multiple channels, including a 24/7 hotline, radio communication, and an online reporting form. VINATUNA is committed to addressing complaints in a timely, fair, and transparent manner, while providing clear, confidential, and non-retaliatory reporting pathways for all informants.
Notably, acknowledgment of receipt will be issued within 24 hours, and a response plan will be developed within five working days. The ultimate aim is to strengthen trust and support continuous improvement toward building a more sustainable and equitable tuna fishery.
Detailed information is provided in the attached document titled “Attachment: FIP Feedback Mechanism Document.”
